Contributions

  • Lead author of the MOCHA suite (draft-jennings-moq-mocha-*, 6 parts, filed 2026-07-06) — a full RTC architecture over MOQT: chat, meetings, identity, MLS keying, reactions, address book.
  • Co-author of moq-discovery (draft-jennings-moq-discovery-00, 2026-08-14) — DNS/mDNS discovery for the moqt URI scheme.
  • Co-author of TEMPO (with suhas-nandakumar) — synchronized media playout orchestration.
  • Active on secure-objects and the WG’s Authorization Design Team.
  • Drove the ~59-issue read-through of draft-18 (2026-06-15) that shaped the editorial pass leading to draft-19.

Positions in WG debates

  • Joining FETCH: would keep Joining FETCH pending operational experience rather than replace it with fill-fetch; flags error-delivery, duplicate-object, and nested-FILL_PARAMETERS concerns. See joining-fetch-dissent.
  • IETF-126 scope reduction: formally objected when the chairs called consensus to move range filters and SSTS out of core moq-transport, citing a roughly 50/50 room split. The Area Director affirmed the chairs’ right to call consensus — a contested but standing determination.
  • Top-N DDoS: presented Top-N denial-of-service concerns at the London interim.
