Organization: Cisco GitHub: mzanaty Role: Filter design lead in moq-transport; LOC contributor
Contributions
- Range Filters (PR #1765) — the one gated Design PR to make the draft-19 cut (2026-07-06).
- Location Filter redesign to match the shape of the other filters (PR #1809) — merged 2026-08-13 in the first draft-20-bound batch.
- Top Tracks Filter (PR #1830) — OPEN; the filter that Yu You’s Nokia relay work and moq-conditional-filtering both build on, and the subject of Ian Swett’s “Top Tracks and SSTS (or ABR in general)” list thread.
- Object Filters advocacy through the May–June 2026 consensus calls; LOC updates at the London interim.
Context
Zanaty’s filter work is the part of the transport draft with the most unresolved surface as of August 2026: the IETF-126 chairs’ consensus call moves range filters into a separate draft, out of core transport (contested by cullen-jennings), while the Top-Tracks × SSTS interaction remains an open design question with no demonstrated implementation.
